Guiderly — The Writing Practice for Your Inner Life
For the examined life

A major life transition is not a problem to solve.
It is an invitation to become who you truly are.

You are smart. You have done a lot in your life so far. And right now, something is shifting — a chapter closing, an identity that no longer fits, the feeling that life is beckoning you to become more.

Guiderly is the daily writing practice that helps you meet your life with honesty, with courage, and with the inner wisdom you already carry, whether you know it yet or not.

This is not just journaling.
This is how you find your way home.

No book, no therapist, no algorithm knows what you need better than you do. Guiderly helps you see it.

"What would you pursue if failure were impossible?"

🔒 Your writing stays completely private. Always.

Who this is for

There are times in life when change is the only choice.

Not because you've failed. Because you've arrived at the edge of the map you've been following. The career, the relationships, the identity built over decades — they brought you here. And here is somewhere new.

This is a good time to slow down, look inside, and figure out what is most important to you. It's time to ask, perhaps for the first time:

How do you want to spend the rest of your life?

That's a question worth more than a weekend retreat or a self-help program. It deserves a daily practice.

✓  This is for you if you feel the pull of that question
You're navigating a major transition — career change, divorce, grief, retirement, or a success that left you strangely empty
You've done therapy, coaching, or meditation — and want to go further on your own terms
You sense that the answers are already inside you — and want a practice that helps you hear them
You want to think honestly, privately, and deeply every day — without being told what to think
You are ready for the most rewarding inner journey of your life — and willing to show up daily for it
You sense that a life guided by your own inner knowing would be fundamentally different from the one you've been living — and you want to find out if that's true
–  Probably not for you if
You're looking for motivation, affirmation, or someone to tell you what to do next
You want AI to generate insights for you rather than surface the ones you already carry
You're looking for a productivity tool, a habit tracker, or a generic journaling app
You need to be convinced that inner work matters
You want a social platform or a content feed
What brings people here

Every passage begins with an ending.
And an opening.

The stage that is ending has been outgrown, or it has simply run its course. What lies ahead is genuinely open — which is both the challenge and the extraordinary opportunity. Guiderly exists for this passage.

The career that no longer works
You built something real — and you have outgrown it. That is not failure. That is growth asking for more space. Writing helps you find out what wants to be built next.
The relationship that changed everything
A marriage ended, or is ending. In the loss, something unexpected has appeared: the question of who you are when you are fully yourself. Writing helps you find out.
The grief that broke something open
Grief reorganizes a life. It also opens parts of you that were closed. Writing creates the space to reckon honestly with what remains — and what is quietly beginning.
The success that felt hollow
You arrived. And the arrival felt hollow. That hollowness is your genius telling you it has been waiting. Writing helps you hear what it has been trying to say.
The life that needs reimagining
No single event — just the growing certainty that the life you're living was built for someone you used to be. That certainty is the beginning of something. Writing helps you follow it.
The time that finally arrived
The obligations are loosening. The next chapter is entirely unwritten. This is not an ending — it is the most open moment of your life. Writing helps you step into it with your full self.
How it works

Four steps. One daily practice.
A lifetime of finding your way home.

01
Receive your prompt
Each morning a single question arrives. Not a productivity prompt — a question drawn from the territory of an examined life. The kind that, on the right morning, stops you cold.
02
Write freely
A private, distraction-free space. No audience. No performance. No word count. Write what's true. That's the only instruction.
03
Go deeper with The Muse
The Muse reads what you wrote and asks up to three questions — each one specific to your words, each one designed to take you a layer deeper into what you already know. Not advice. Not analysis. A companion opening doors.
04
Build your signal
The practice compounds. Patterns emerge that you couldn't see from inside a single session. Real inner change takes time — and that is exactly the point. Six months from now, you will make decisions differently. You will trust what you hear from within. That is not a small thing.
See it in practice

A day in the life of Guiderly

What does a daily writing practice actually look like from the inside?

Five minutes to read the prompt. Twenty minutes to write honestly. Three questions from The Muse — each one opening a door you didn't know was there.

The Muse in practice

This is what it feels like
when the right question arrives.

The Muse doesn't judge. It doesn't advise. It reads everything you've written, finds the thing you haven't said yet, and asks the one question that opens it.

You wrote
I've been in this career for eighteen years. I'm good at it. People respect me. And I feel nothing. I keep waiting for the feeling to come back and I'm starting to think it's not coming back. I don't know what that means.
The Muse asks

"What would it mean about the last eighteen years if the feeling really isn't coming back?"

You wrote
I think it would mean I built the wrong life. Or the right life for someone I used to be. That's terrifying to say out loud. But it's true. I can feel it's true.
The Muse asks

"Who were you when you chose this path — and what did that person need that you're no longer sure you still need?"

The Muse asks up to three questions per session — each one drawn from exactly what you wrote. What you discover in the space they open belongs entirely to you.

From the founder

I created Guiderly because I needed it.

I think I know something about what your life looks like. I spent decades in corporate — building companies, leading teams, delivering results. I was good at it, and I loved my work, until I didn't anymore. Somewhere along the way, I'd lost touch with myself.

So I quit. There was no more time to waste. All I knew was I needed to know who I was again. And what matters to me now.

I traveled. I did retreats. I went deeper with meditation, therapy, somatic work, and working with teachers I deeply respect. All of it helped. None of it gave me what was missing. Then I noticed that writing was completing a circuit that made everything make sense again.

This hit me one day when I got thoroughly lost in the woods in Big Sur. Literally. Alone in the trees, no path, no GPS, no idea which way to go. I stopped. I put my hands on the ground. I grew quiet, calm, and started listening inside instead of frantically searching for the path. The noise dropped away, and my intuition began to guide me. I found my way out. When I wrote about it, suddenly I could see that what I'd been seeking was inside me all along. Putting it into words made it clear.

I built Guiderly because I wish I'd had it at every major transition in my own life. The most important source of wisdom is already inside you. Guiderly asks the questions that help it speak.

What members say
"

In today's world where everything's so external and we're bombarded with outside messaging, Guiderly helped me tap into my own knowing. Unlike traditional therapeutic models that tell you what to do, this process empowered me to become my own best friend and guide. Connecting with my inner wisdom has transformed how I make decisions and understand myself.

As an entrepreneur and scientist, I was new to journaling. Daily writing really helped push me forward and allowed me to better understand what I want, where I want to go, and to tune into my inner knowing. I'm definitely going to spend more time listening to my inner genius. It's been an amazing experience for me.

Philippe Jutras · Entrepreneur & Scientist

"

I loved the structure and commitment to write every day. It kept me going and I got a lot from daily writing and reflecting. The follow-up questions were fascinating, deep and wonderful. As a therapist and social worker, I've been asked to write a book many times — but this whole experience has just been great in terms of remembering, knowing, and experiencing how much I enjoy writing.

"

I loved it. It was an interactive way to do writing with support and feedback. I didn't expect the prompts to be so powerful. It's about total connection to your inner being — your inner genius.

This isn't for everyone — and that's intentional. If you're in the right place in your life for this practice, you'll know.

The way home
is already inside you.

The stage that is ending has served you well. What comes next is genuinely open — and genuinely yours. The life guided by your own genius is not a fantasy. It is what becomes possible when you stop outsourcing your knowing and start developing it daily. That is what Guiderly is.

The only question is whether you're ready to find out.
